An exclusive photocall for an exceptional day. To celebrate its 70th birthday, 113 leading numeral from throughout the world of film came together to pay homage to the Festival de Cannes.
The Cannes Film Festival tossed an elegant festival Tuesday for its 70th anniversary, drawing swarms of famous people and twelve previous Palme d'Or champs to celebrate the renowned French Riviera celebration's birthday.
Huge names from crosswise over silver screen gushed down the Cannes celebrity main street Tuesday night for a service. Prior in the day, the celebration accumulated more than 100 present and previous Cannes members for a "Cannes family portrait."
Between the many in presence were Will Smith, Charlize Theron, Tilda Swinton, Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Jessica Chastain, Guillermo del Toro, George Miller and Alejandro Inarritu.

May 17th marked the beginning of not only the screenings but of 12 days of celebration! Here are the events that will take place through this 70th edition.
From the Opening Ceremony to the awards ceremony on Sunday, May 18th, both emceed by Monica Bellucci, the Festival glorified its 70th edition by start-up brand new tailor-made events and invite numerous stars and personalities.
PUBLISHING OF CES ANNEES-LA (EDITIONS STOCK), the anniversary book, an anthology of the original statement on their Cannes experience by sixty French and foreign journalists.
On the premiere night, from early night until late during the evening, the Festival offered a WELCOME PARTY to welcome the celebration goers and the press. The gathering happened on the Plage du Majestic (Majestic beach) and in addition on the Agora, with unrecorded music by the Fantasy Live Experience Orchestra and DJ Daddy Ryton
After the gathering on Friday, May twelfth sorted out for experts situated in Cannes, three suppers will be held out of appreciation for various segments of the universal film group:

Sunday 21 May: a remarkable show with - M-, who will display his new collection "ÎL" EST UNE ÂME, le Baptême de LAMOMALI, joined by star African kora players Toumani and Sidiki Diabaté, Malian soul diva Fatoumata Diawara (found because of the achievement of Abderrahmane Sissako's Timbuktu). Free endless supply of a ticket to be gathered at the Cannes city lobby and at the Festival.
Thursday 25 May: a moment outstanding show, performed by TONY GATLIF AND HIS REBETIKO BAND, prevalent Greek music, trailed by the debut screening of his most recent film, Djam (France-Greece-Turkey, 2017, 1h37), a melodic trip through Turkey and Greece brimming with expectation and sharing.
To increase the size of screenings, entry to films in the Official Selection will be extended with extra screenings at 8:30 AM in the Debussy Theatre, 8 PM and 10 PM at the Olympia and noon at the Salle du Soixantième.
